Camp Corsa Axe & Life-Link Snow Saw Reviews
I’ve been chastised for not putting something new up here for a while. Don’t worry—we have a very special surprise coming just before Christmas. I think you’ll like it. Until then, here are a few new gear reviews to pass the time:
Lou kind of scooped us on this one, but the CAMP USA Corsa Ice Axe has just become my favorite ultralight aluminum axe (in all fairness, we’d been waiting for CAMP to stock a 50 cm version since early Spring). I sold my Grivel Nepal Light moments after the Corsa arrived, and I think this axe is going to be the new standard for non-technical ski mountaineering and adventure racing. I’ll also put this in the ‘makes a great gift’ category—why not give one to yourself this holiday season?
Also posted: the Life-Link Snow Saw review. A little background on this one…this saw has been driving me crazy. It’s literally been sitting on my desk for months, mocking me. “Do the review, do the review,” it whispers, but other things come up, and the saw just sits there. It’s been unbearable, week after week of merciless torment. I am so relieved to say I’ve finally put this one to rest. The saw is off my desk. The review is done. Thank goodness!
