Review: Mountain Hardwear Typhoon Jacket
The Typhoon Jacket is yet another of those affordable ambiguously technical rain shells that are fast becoming today’s bestsellers.
Similar to the North Face Venture Jacket and Marmot’s PreCip Jacket, the Typhoon is the only one of the bunch to offer high-end Gore-Tex PacLite fabric.
That does bump up the price a bit, though it’s still a far cry from the usual premium you pay for PacLite. I think the Typhoon is a great choice for anyone who wants an ultralight shell that is specifically made of GoreTex. For more info and comparisons to the Venture and PreCip shells, see the full review: Mountain Hardwear Typhoon Jacket. Enjoy!
