Opedix Performance Tights
Opedix’s S1 Performance Tights are one of those kinds of products that sound a little too good to be true.
The S1′s goal is to provide physical support to the knee without a rigid bracing structure, thus allowing skiers to ski longer and harder with less effort, less soreness, and less long-term joint stress. If that sounds more like marketing than magic, your initial reaction is the same as mine.
But here’s the thing—having used these in the field, I get the crazy sense they might actually work. Opedix isn’t publishing objective data on the S1′s efficacy (at least as of this writing), but the S1 tights do seem to enhance the stability of the knee joint while skiing, hiking, and climbing. Note that a few key questions remain unanswered: how much additional support do Opedix products offer—and will that extra support prove beneficial? Here’s my take: Opedix S1 Performance Tights Review.
