Injinji ToeSocks
What the heck is this all about? That’s about what I thought when I first saw Injinji’s “ToeSocks”—socks with individually-fitted toes for your…toes.
Injinji makes the intriging point that traditional tube socks are like mittens, forcing your toes to act as one unit, rather than individually. But do Injinjis offer a real performance advantage or just a (more…)

What does the missus think of your sandals-with-socks habit?

Apparently some people think wearing socks with sandals is a major fashion faux pas. Go figure.

UPDATE: Okay, my 3-year-old son just told me, “Don’t be strange.” Apparently he feels the Injinji socks are too weird to wear in public.

All in all, this sock seems a bit unnecessary. I don’t buy that dexterity thing either. If you could peel a banana with your toes, then okay, then we’d have something to talk about.
As for flip-flop advantages, I’ve been wearing regular socks with flip-flops for years – just wedge the sock down between your toes before you put the flip flop on. Problem solved!
Overall… seems like a big *meh*.

I’d be insanely careful using them in sandals, or shoes without much support – I used a pair for about 6 months, and as you note, I had no blisters. On the flip side, I slipped once, overextended my toes, and the extra fabric around the base of each toe acted as a wedge, which resulted in a couple of broken toes.
Possibly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but they ruined the socks for me.
