Nordica Fire Arrow 80 Pro
Nordica's Fire Arrow 80 Pro was one of the most popular skis at this year's SIA demo. I waited diligently for a chance to ride the updated Fire Arrow, and I'm glad I did. This is a significantly improved ski, taking last year's Fire Arrow 80 and giving it a much-needed jolt of energy. Just wondering, you say that this year's model had a "much needed jolt of energy" but other accounts I've read have said that the 2012 FA 80 pro is the exact same ski as the 2011 FA 80. Could you please elaborate on the improvements that led to your conclusion?

CJ, at SIA, we get to ski *next* year's models, so the ski reviewed here is for the 2012-2013 season -- next winter. That said, my understanding is that there was a big shift when the FA Pro came out in 2012, and it is not the same ski as the original Fire Arrow, which I skied in 2011 (and found a little too pokey)...

Great review. Demo'd the '12-'13 for a few runs last yr and loved it. It kept asking for more and I gladly ablidged.
Question. How does it compare to the new FA 84 EDT???
And is is the '11-'12 FA80PRO The same as the '12-13 model? I think that's what you are saying. Thx!!!!
